If you have the iOS 7 installed on your iPhone you simply do not require downloading any third party application. Cropping functionality comes as a built-in in the iPhone stock photo application.
NOTE: there is an important thing you show need to know before you crop photos from your camera roll or any other folder in your iPhone 5. Cropping a picture will replace the cropped one with the original picture. So before cropping if you need the original one too you have to back it up, you can do this by emailing it to you or saving it to any external device such as your computer.

- Open up the built-in Photo app on your iPhone 5
- Select the picture you would like to crop
- When a picture is selected tap on the Edit (placed on the top right of the screen)
- Now tap on the crop icon (placed on the bottom right of the screen)
- Drag your crop area to assign it to picture
- There is an another option Aspect click on it and it will give you lot of pre-defined crop ratios
- Select the crop button (placed on the top right of the screen)
- Now, click on Save. The cropped picture will be saved to your camera roll
